Mediterranean food published by Macdonald, London 1958 second & best edition with revisions.
French country cooking published by John Lehmann, London 1951, first edition.
Both books with illustrations & dust jackets designed by John Minton.
Both hardbacks in the original cloth bindings, original dust jackets priced at 12s. 6d. Half titles present, numerous black & white illustrations.
Each book measures approx 8 x 5 inches.
Two classic cookery books & with the original jackets.

Elder Books & Collectables has clarified that the 1950's Elizabeth David Cookery Books Mediterranean Food & French Country Cooking (LA440905) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1951,1958
condition
Several chips with some tears & rubbing to edges of both jackets, old tape repair to front of jacket on the french cooking, lacks front blank endpaper of the french cooking, secondary girl's school ink stamp & some hand written reference notes to front endpaper of mediterranean food, some light foxing mostly to endpapers & page fore-edges of the french cooking.
Overall both are in very good acceptable condition.
Please note that the jackets has some reflections present in images from the clear removable covering.
