This is an exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This exceptional and rare antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has an octagonal form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced decorated panels incorporating simplified interlacing scroll and arch designs. The upper and lower portions incorporate applied moulded borders to the rims. This fine Victorian Sheffield silver mustard pot retains the original hallmarked panelled hinged cover surmounted with an impressive cast silver scrolling thumbpiece accented with an undulating leaf textured border. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an S scroll handle featuring scrolling terminals. The mustard pot is fitted with the original removable blue blown glass liner, bearing the shape of the aforementioned pierced decoration; this fine definition indicates the high quality of the piece. This exceptional example of antique silverware is supplied with an associated antique Victorian London sterling silver spoon crafted by William Eaton in 1838.
