A qualified auctioneer, she has a BA Hons in Valuation of Fine Art and Chattels and has worked in a London auction house and for The Potteries Museum as well as exhibiting at fairs in London and East Anglia. She is a keen collector of 18th and 19th century Staffordshire ceramics, turn of the century art pottery and English silver novelty items.

Description
Gorgeous and rare novelty scent bottle in the form of a violin and dating from the end of the 19th Century. This delightful piece is of Dutch origin and is decorated with Rococo motifs including flowers, foliage and birds. It has silver wire-work strings and a pull off silver and cork seal to the back of the body. There is an attaching ring to the top for a chain or chatelaine.
The Dutch market specialised in novelty silver items and this wonderful example would make a welcome addition to any collection, or great gift idea.
