Description
A very nice quality music box from the late 19th Century. The rosewood and ebonised case is beautifully polished with an inlaid cartouche and barbers pole stringing.
A bonus of this box is that it has the addition of 3 bells which play in complementary harmony to the barrel playing tunes.
As I am not a musician, I do not know the several tunes it plays but doubtless these would soon be identified by someone who knows their music.
All of the tunes play very crisply with a nice tone and completely in tune.
A very nice quality box.
