Antique 1.50ct Ruby & 0.60ct Diamond 12ct Yellow Gold Flower Brooch c.1890

Fine and impressive antique 1.50 carat ruby and 0.60 carat diamond, 12 carat yellow gold and silver set brooch; part of our diverse collection of floral brooches. This fine and impressive antique ruby brooch has been crafted in 12ct yellow gold with a silver setting. This antique stylised floral brooch has a hexafoil shaped form, in a swirl design. The brooch is embellished with an impressive central claw set round faceted cut ruby, encompassed with six individually silver collet set Dutch cut diamonds. The emanating curvilinear yellow gold pales bear a further claw set round faceted cut ruby, terminating with the scalloped border. The border of the brooch incorporates six lobes, each ornamented with five further Dutch cut diamonds, completing the design. This antique brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp. This ruby flower brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 12 carat gold and silver.
