An elegant Chippendale period mahogany lowboy.
c1780.
The top with moulded edge, over three cock-beaded drawers, with later ornately carved drawer fronts, with period rococo brass handles. Oak lined drawers of dove-tail construction.
Elegant fretwork carved spandrels to the top of each tapering leg, finishing with spade feet
In excellent antique condition. Strong and sturdy. The carving to the front of the original drawers dates from the 19th century Victorian era.
