Description
For your consideration Clockwise is proud to present this fine example of a Victorian brass single fusee eight day chain-driven skeleton clock with a fretted frame which benefits from an hourly passing strike on a bell. The wheels are all five spoke as is the norm with a high quality movement and the clock retains its original heavy pendulum. The 8.75 inch restored silvered pierced dial is a lovely feature of this clock complimented by the original hands and the recently serviced movement rests upon curving supports and cylindrical stepped feet. The original glass dome is free of any cracks and has that attractive 'shimmer' of old glass and all of this rests on a white marble stepped base to complete the impressive appearance.
Dating from the 1870's and increasing hard to find in this condition this clock is priced very well and comes with my three year guarantee as standard. This is one of two skeleton clocks I currently have for sale.
