This is a stunning and quite substantial Lalique Martinets, Swallows pattern vase. Presented in pristine unmarked condition. Fully signed to the base in script, Lalique (R) France. The natural world was a major source of inspiration for Lalique's work. In this vase the birds create a sense of dynamism and movement highlighting the form of the vase. Lalique used swallows in many of their designs including his perfume bottles. A large and heavy weight piece.
