Large Antique Caucasian Chelaberd Rug - The Eagle Kazak Rug

Large caucasian chelaberd rug with three and a bit medallions. This example is a bit later in date made between the war years (1919-1939) than those that attract the very big money (1860-1900). Nevertheless still an amazing example of some merit and large in size. It has been hand washed and dusted (see last images). It has been priced accordingly due to a couple of historic repairs. A circular reweave and bit of wear and reinforced from rear with Hessian patches (all imaged). Still a tidy example. Original wool herringbone type selvedges and black triple bound side cords.
