Offered for sale is this 18th Century (c.1780) George III antique satinwood chest of drawers of exceptional colour and patina.
Beautifully time faded, creating a superb pale blond colour to the glowing satinwood.
To the top of is a reeded edge, over three oak lined drawers of fine dove-tail construction, decorated with inlaid boxwood stringing and rosewood cross-banded edge. Fitted with brass ring handles, retaining the original locks and escutcheons.
Each drawer is strong and sturdy and open smoothly and easily. Original blue paper lining to the base of each drawer.
Mahogany sides, standing on bracket shaped feet.

In excellent antique condition. Outstanding patina. Replacement handles, stylistically and age correct. One lock historically removed from the top drawer and wood filled. Very solid sturdy and strong.
