China Trio: Classic Art Deco China Trio by Grafton, From Their “5325” Pattern

1931 fine bone China Art Deco trio by Grafton. The trio includes: Teacup, saucer, and shaped side plate. Founded in 1900, Grafton was a highly popular British bone China and Earthenware manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs, and owned by Alfred B. Jones & Sons. In 1950, with the award of a Royal Charter, the company changed their name to Royal Grafton, and from that time, became globally well-known. Hand-painted on to pure white China, pattern “5325” offers the classic encapsulation of the Art Deco vogue. It emulates an Egyptian Pharaoh scene, with each item of the trio, having brightly coloured pyramids and palm trees, and an eye-catching deep blue River Nile, cutting across the corner of the scene and finished with gold trim.
