Description
This is a handsome 18th Century George III antique longcase clock by Henry Baker of Malling. He is listed as working there from 1730 to 1777. The case is in nicely figured mahogany, it has retained it's original finish and is a lovely colour. It has a good quality 5 pillar, 8 day movement that strikes the hours on a bell. It has a smart brass dial with silvered chapter ring. It has it's original brass cased weights which have been painted gold at some time in the past.
The movement is in working order and keeping good time. The chapter ring is a bit rubbed.
