Description
Fell in love with the colours at first sight, and then the gentle delicate lines the artist managed to capture in this nude study.
Original painting in Gouache which gives the paint this wonderful translucent finish, which works wonderfully with these skin tones.
Painted by Israel Zohar (b1945) born in Kazakhstan who is a classically trained artist. His work has great depth and incredible life to the paintings he produces, you could almost walk in to the painting and sit down with the subjects.
Provenance: One of only 65 variations painted, a few the artist kept and the others in private collections. Verified by Artist.
One of his most recognizable works of art is his oil on canvas portrait of Diana, Princess of Wales, commissioned in 1990 by the 13th/18th Regiment of the Royal Hussars.
Truly inspiring artist.
