Description
Quality pair of George III style (c.1920) antique mahogany Hepplewhite armchairs. The classic shield shaped back with a well carved Prince of Wales plumes, within carved uprights. The stylish arms with flower head terminals supported on shaped uprights, the large stuff over seats with fabric being held in place by closed brass studding. Back legs are shaped, elegant cabriole front legs with foliate carving on the knees, reeding on the facing and sides finishing on a simple foot.
