Description
-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-
This is a very sweet satinwood bureau of small proportions, in the George III style (c.1920).
The satinwood on this very charming bureau has a most wonderful colour and outstanding rich figuring to the wood throughout.
The fall-front with inlaid paterae motif, opens to reveal a fitted interior with an arrangement of several pigeon hole compartments over a small inlaid central drawer. The pigeon holes are topped with the most lovely scalloped shape decoration.
Below the desk are three long drawers with the original brass handles and cross-banded drawer fronts.
It stands on elegant bracket shaped feet.
