Description
This is a superb and sought after item of early 20th Century desk ware. This is a silver and glass stamp moistener. The frame is hallmarked silver with a removable glass insert and barrel. Each side has a faux tortoiseshell panel and the glass body has a bevelled rim.
To use, a small amount of water was placed in the reservoir and the barrel was rotated as the stamp was applied, to moisten the underside. A rare item for the collector and a wonderful piece for dressing an antique desk.
