A Victorian drop dial fusee wall clock. A rosewood case with mother of pearl inlays. A glazed pendulum aperture. A cast brass bezel surround to the octagonal dial. A 12" painted dial signed 'Robert Andrews, Pilton ' with blued steel 'moon' hands. A side door and an opening bottom door. An 8-day duration fusee mechanism of good quality. Circa 1850. Robert Andrews of Pilton (Somerset) is recorded in A J Moores'' 'Watch and Clockmakers of Somerset' book as working from in the Victorian period.
