Description
1960 Tudor Oyster 'Big Rose' wristwatch. A silvered dial with uniform patina, giving a dark yellow/orange effect. A very unusual 'crosshair' quartering to the dial. Applied steel 'arrowhead' hour markers with differing designs at the quarters compared to the rest. Signed 'Swiss' below 6 o'clock. The hours and minutes are indicated by steel 'lozenge' hands with a central lume strip.
A slim stainless steel Oyster case with screw down case back. The lugs have a slight champfering to the edges. Original Rolex winding crown. The watch is signed to the back 'Original Oyster Case by Rolex Geneva'. This watch bears the reference 7934 111.60.
The watch is powered by a 21 jewel Tudor mechanism. The 300k serial numbers date the watch to 1960.
This watch comes with a rare Tudor red velvet box, signed 'Tudor "Oyster" By Rolex Geneva'.
