Description
An original 19th century dark wooden (likely oak) monk's chair which, with the back down, converts into a very useful side table (see second, fifth and sixth photographs). The chair itself has a void underneath the seat, also most useful for storage. A monk's chair, as opposed to the longer monk's bench, is more unusual to find but very useful where space might be more limited. It would suit a Georgian, Victorian or medieval style property very well indeed. The piece is in good, sound and useable condition with light signs of wear through age and use. The top appears to have one slightly lighter section of wood at the front, but not very obvious (see seventh photograph).
