1960 Tudor Prince Oysterdate automatic wristwatch. A very rare black gloss dial, in very good condition. Applied steel numerals, with chevron style markers at 6/9, with shorter dagger markers to the rest. Surrounded by an outer minute track. A 'big rose' Tudor logo to 12 o'clock, making this even more unusual. Steel 'dauphine' hands. A date aperture to 3 o'clock, featuring the iconic and sought after 'roulette' date with alternating red and black date script.
A stainless steel case with a screw down case back. Case back signed 'original Oyster case by Rolex Geneva'. Original Rolex stamped winding crown. Case back inner signed 'montres Tudor' and 159. Case back signed with serial number and case reference 7966.
The watch is powered by a 25 jewel calibre 2452 Tudor Auto-Prince mechanism. Serial numbers date this watch to 1960.
