1960s Pocket Watch Chain Fob 'The Champion Beer Shifter' Gilt & Enamel Fob

Gentleman's highly unusual Vintage pocket watch chain 'The Champion Beer Shifter' gilt and Royal blue enamel fob. Similar to the fobs I have supplied to 'Pinewood Studios'. (Please excuse the reflections in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph). Measures; 3.9cm height (including the top ring), 3cm width and weighs a very respectable 8.2 grams. Beautifully decorated to the front with large acanthus leaves framing either side of the word 'The' with a slightly raised Gentleman's hand to centre holding a pint of frothy beer. Raised Royal blue arched enamel plaques which are stamped in gold script; Champion Beer Shifter The back is smooth, highly polished and free from any inscriptions or initials. Good original robust brass top ring to attach to a pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with a little bit of wear / patina and surface scratches commensurate with age and being in the pub on a watch chain for many a year.
