Description
A magnificent, fine and impressive, large 1930's 8.13 carat diamond and platinum Art Deco brooch; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This magnificent, fine and impressive diamond brooch has been crafted in platinum. This geometric Art Deco brooch is ornamented to the centre with a feature collet set 1.30ct Old European cut diamond. The central diamond is encompassed with horizontal pales embellished with thirty-eight pavé set Old European cut diamonds, accented to either end with seven further diamonds within rounded segments. This symmetrical millegrain decorated frame bears four impressive Art Deco swept collar motifs emanating from the central design, each incorporating four swept rays, ornamented with a total of twenty-six pavé cut diamonds. This large and intricate brooch features a paralleling oval border conjoining the aforementioned four cardinal swept motifs, in addition to a rectangular cut cornered border to the outer edge. These impressive borders are ornamented with forty-four pavé set Old European cut diamonds, completing the design. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and catch. This Art Deco brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as platinum. The antique 1930's Art Deco brooch in platinum is supplied with an independent diamond grading certificate for the feature diamond, in addition to an independent diamond grading report card for the supporting stones.
