Description
A handsome antique Regency mahogany open armchair or desk chair dating from circa 1820. In beautifully figured mahogany it features a reeded oblong top-rail above a crossbar with a central roundel. It has curved arm rests and stands on turned legs united by turned cross stretchers. The drop-in seat has been recently reupholstered. Good colour and patina. A beautiful statement piece that would make a handsome desk chair or bedroom chair.
