This is a beautiful example of Bombay or Karachi craftsmanship in Calcutta style with embossed decoration of hill city pattern, depicting traditional buildings and architecture, churches, threes, foliage and bridges. The bowl is marked underneath C.G.K (untraced) and 95, referring to the content of silver (95% high purity silver). The maker requires further research.

condition
The bowl is in very good condition with general light scratching to the silver commensurate with age. Over time, one feet has moved a little and has created a kind of bulge into the silver, but nothing detrimental to its beautiful aesthetic.
