Description
A stunning, fine and impressive antique 2.17ct diamond and 10 carat yellow gold, silver set pendant/brooch/hair clip; part of our diverse antique diamond jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive antique diamond pendant has been crafted in 10ct yellow gold with a silver setting, with a 12ct yellow gold fitting. The pierced decorated feature setting displays a central feature 0.25ct claw set Old European cut diamond, encircled by eight claw set Old European cut diamonds, forming a central cluster design. This cluster is framed by an undulating, interlacing ribbon design embellished with twenty-four pavé set diamonds, in a combination of Old European and eight cuts. The scalloped outer circumference of the brooch is embellished with a single individually collet set diamond to each incurve, completing the symmetrical design. This versatile setting is surmounted with an impressive detachable integrated-designed scrolling bale, incorporating two further collet set diamonds to the lower portion; this additional bale has been finely crafted to create a continued protrusion of the impressive feature setting. The bale is further embellished with five pavé set eight-cut diamonds. The antique diamond pendant is suspended from a 17' platinum chain, securing with a conventional spring-loaded bolt ring fastening. This stunning pendant can be worn as a brooch via a detachable 12ct yellow gold hinged pin and clasp to the reverse; the detachable pin and bale indicate the high quality of the piece. This antique diamond brooch/pendant is further accompanied by an impressive screw fit gilt metal hair pin attachment. This antique diamond pendant/brooch/hair pin is fitted to the original hinged velvet presentation case with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch. The interior velvet fitment can be removed to allow access to an integrated recess, suitable to storing the detachable components. The interior of the cover of the box features the renowned retailer's mark 'By Appointment to H. M. The King, The Goldsmiths & Silversmith Company Ltd, 112 Regent St, London, W' incorporating the British coat of arms. This antique Victorian diamond cluster brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 10 carat gold and silver. This stunning brooch is supplied with a IDGL diamond grading report certificate for the feature diamond, in addition to an IDGL diamond grading report card for the supporting stones. This stunning composite piece is the finest example of its type you could hope to acquire; such examples incorporating a diamond hair clip/pin attachment are rare to the market.
