Antique 3.02ct Lapis Lazuli & 15ct Yellow Gold Locket Ring c.1880

This is an exceptional, fine and impressive 3.02 carat lapis lazuli and 15 carat yellow gold locket ring; part of our diverse antique lapis lazuli jewellery collections. This exceptional, fine and impressive locket ring has been crafted in 15ct gold. The anterior face of this antique ring is embellished with an impressive collet set 3.02ct oval cut lapis lazuli. This impressive gemstone is bordered with finely detailed scrolling vine applique work, incorporating three tones of gold. The anterior face has a hinged locket cover securing with a push fit clasp and opens to reveal a vacant compartment which allows a personal memento or keepsake to be displayed; the engraved frame to the interior indicates the high quality of the piece. The two-coloured gold, broad and substantial ring shoulders are embellished with an applied scrolling leaf decorated panel, integrating with the main setting and blend seamlessly with the plain ring shank. This antique ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 carat gold. This impressive gemstone ring is supplied with an Idgl diamond grading report card. Such original rings are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
