Antique 8.80ct Ceylon Sapphire & 2.68ct Diamond, 18ct White Gold Cocktail Ring c.1935

Stunning 8.80 Ceylon sapphire and 2.68 carat diamond, 18 carat white gold and platinum set cocktail ring; part of our diverse antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive antique cocktail ring has been crafted in 18ct white gold with a platinum setting. The substantial ring displays a feature 8.80ct natural blue cushion cut Ceylon sapphire, which displays no signs of heat treatment. The four claw set sapphire is displayed to a stepped design, encircled by four baguette cut and ten Old European round cut diamonds. A further two Old European round cut and thirty-two pavé set eight-cut diamonds embellish the setting. The subtly elevated ring shoulders integrate with the main setting and blend seamlessly with the plain ring shank. This antique Ceylon sapphire cocktail ring has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 18ct gold and platinum. The ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card in addition to a sapphire report card and certificate supplied by the Gemmological Certification Services, London.
