Description
A charming antique Edwardian fold-out boot jack in oak dating from circa 1910. This boot jack or shoe pull was probably made for a country house and used for pulling off long riding boots (or hiking boots). In good working order, it has a hinged boot plate into which you would place your boot heel and remove your footwear while holding onto the handles. In solid oak with wonderful original patina it features turned handles and has a visible pegged mortice and tenon construction. Useful for riders or ramblers alike, it folds away flat for storage, so can be conveniently hung up in a hallway or boot room. Construction/Wood: Oak Condition Report: Good original condition, in good working order. Beautiful warm colour and patina. Wear and marks commensurate with age. An old mended split to front of the boot plate (solid). Dimensions: Height: 81cm Width at Handles: 41cm Depth: 3cm
