A handsome slightly stately looking decorative sofa in the Egyptian Revival manner with those rather good bust to the front of the arms and little brass toes to the bases. The sofa is ample in size and well shaped, again with a leaning towards Egyptian revival. The sofa survives in good historic order having been reupholstered in 2015 in a deep emerald green woven silk mix fabric to the side panels, backs, rear and sprung seat. The frame sits well with day to day marks and a few losses but nothing new. The sofa has no movement in the frames or arms. The upholstery is lightly worn with no holes, rips and is little on the soft side. We can offer a reupholstery service if requested and this would cost £675 plus Vat and you would need around 6 meters of fabric. Something a little different with a real sense of style. It would work well in a commercial or private setting.
