Antique French Grand Tour Souvenir Perfume Scent Bottle Gilt Ormolu Mount & Eglomise Miniature Painting c.1880

On offer is this fine antique French Grand Tour souvenir perfume bottle dating circa 1880 and standing 10 cm in height. This perfume bottle is made of beautiful deep ruby red glass and stands upon four ball feet. The bottle has smooth rounded sloping shoulders and has a decorative pierced gilt ormolu mount to the top of the shoulders. The hinged lid is scalloped and the top is set with a miniature eglomise watercolour painting with scenic Parisian view. This antique perfume bottle is offered in good condition. There are no chips, cracks or fractures to the glass body. There is some fritting to the inner rim of the neck and the inner clear glass stopper is undamaged. The lid fits firmly and securely and the eglomise painting to the top of the lid has no losses but is slightly faded. Thank you for your interest.
