Antique Lille French Faience Plaque ~ "A Rake's Progress"

Highly decorative late 19th Century French Lille Faience oval plaque with repoussé mouldings in the rococo manner, heightened with gilding, and depicting Plate two from Hogarth’s set of eight engravings , “A Rake’s Progress”, the set based on pre-existing paintings by the printmaker, painted in 1734 and now in  Sir John Soane’s Museum, London, the lively proceedings set within a gilded border.
