Description
This is a very pretty solid silver fruit knife with a mother of pearl handle. It was made in 1911 and would be ideal for cutting and peeling apples, pears and soft fruits.
It comes in a lovely green gift bag and would be a great present for a birthday or anniversary.
It has a sterling silver blade with the makers mark and hallmarks on one side. The handle is mother of pearl and features a blank rectangular cartouche on one side. The blade folds neatly back into the handle.
It was made by William Needham and is hallmarked for Sheffield 1911.

It measures 12.5cm (just under 5 inches) when fully open and 7.5cm (3 inches) when closed.

Beeches Vintage has clarified that the Antique Sterling Silver Fruit Knife - 1911 Hallmark (LA494689) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 1911
condition
It’s in good condition. There’s a little tarnish and a very small bend to the blade and a tiny nick in it but it wouldn’t affect its use. There’s a very tiny chip to the Pearl handle but otherwise it is smooth and free of cracks.
