Stunning, fine and impressive mabe pearl and 0.36 carat diamond, 15 carat yellow gold and silver set beetle/insect brooch; part of our antique jewellery and estate jewelry collections. This stunning, fine and impressive antique pearl brooch has been crafted in 15ct yellow gold with a silver setting. The brooch has been modelled in the form of a beetle. The abdomen of the beetle is represented by a stunning Mabe pearl accented with a broad ribbed design to the yellow gold underside; this continuation of anatomical decoration indicates the high quality of the piece. The head, thorax and legs of the beetle are embellished with millegrain decorated pavé set diamonds, in a combination of Old European, Dutch and eight cuts. This stunning Mabe pearl bug brooch secures to the reverse with a hallmarked hinged pin and hook fastening. This brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton Xl2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 carat gold and silver.
