Description
This offering is for a superb art deco half doll produced in Germany by the factory of Fasold & Stauch. This fabulous flapper lady wears a blue cloche hat pulled low over her forehead and is gazing into the powder compact she is holding in her left hand. In her right hand she holds a powder puff.
This lady has been dressed in a long dark blue velvet gown with white fur trim and is seated in a large wicker armchair. Under her gown she has a lace petticoat and wears white cotton and lace trimmed pantaloons on her cloth stuffed legs. From the knee down she has attached porcelain legs with painted heeled boots.
This flapper lady half doll measures approx. 11 cm in height and the total height including the legs is approx. 22cm.
This finest quality and rare half doll is offered in very good condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. The clothing has no soiling or rips and the chair is in very good order and is strong and stable. This is a fabulous piece for the discerning collector!
