Description
This is an exceptional quality arts and crafts beaten copper piece. It has a chased decoration around the rim. Incredible central motif /decoration showing incredible skill. One cannot underestimate the quality. Numbered underneath showing the model number which appears to be 260 with a line through the three digits. Also carefully scraped into the base is the number 301 which is hard to see. Probably a complete one off design. The design owes an influence to the earlier works of C R Ashbee & The Guild of Handicraft. However if Artificers Guild then its the same period .
I,m led to believe this was made by the Artificers, Guild.
