A beautiful vintage 1940s China teapot and lid named "The Old Mill" by "James Sadler and Sons", Burslem, Stoke. The James Sadler pottery business was established in 1882 and throughout their company history (up until 2000) they specialised in manufacturing teapots, becoming world-renowned for producing high-quality products with high levels of craftsmanship. This widely named 'barrel' shaped 4 x cup teapot, was one of several china teapots Sadlers produced in the 1940s with country scenes and gold trim patterns, all of which were extremely popular and prized then, as they still are today!
