Description
This is an unusual counter bell in the form similar to a clam shell. The base is ceramic, the stand brass and the “clam” in nickel. The bell works by turning the small ball on the side. Some wear to the mechanism but still rings. There are some markings to the brass stand as per photos, it seems to read like an abbreviation of January and a date 188? possibly a design date?…
