Edwardian Kidney Shaped Tray Shell Inlay & Brass Handles

Large and beautiful Edwardian mahogany kidney shaped tray 27" wide and in lovely condition. The tray has a great colour and is inlaid with a huge shell in the centre. The gallery is mahogany and satinwood and at each end is a superb shaped brass handle. The tray is Edwardian and dates from c1901 when there was a revival of some of the beautiful items made by Thomas Sheraton in the 18th century. Make no mistake, this is a superior piece being of a good large size, having the unusual kidney shape and also having the inlaid shell in satinwood and olivewood.
