Fine Late Victorian Flame Mahogany Jewellery Box

A fine quality Victorian mahogany jewellery box, the top with a superbly figured flame mahogany panel surrounded by marquetry bandings, the corners edged in ebony. Crossbanded mahogany panels on all four sides. The box has been re-lined in a plush red velvet and retains the polished flame mahogany panel to the inside of the lid. A superb quality box with working lock & key. c.1890 28cm x 19cm x 15cm high.
