This is a lovely advertising barometer for Harry Hall probably from the late 1940’s – 50’s, the pictures tell the full story. The barometer & thermometer are in working condition having been professionally restored a few years ago by Barometer World in North Devon. The instrument has a 222mm diameter brass bezel with a stunning clear porcelain dial with clear red & black print & set into a dark polished carved (mahogany?).
The paper notes fixed to the back give instructions on how to adjust the barometer & below that are details explaining where the instrument can be moved or returned, referring to Licenced Premises.
This lovely instrument would grace any home, shop, public house or office & a natural for a TV prop!
