I specialise in affordable original artworks - mainly traditional watercolours and oil paintings but I also have a range of contemporary artworks including limited edition lithographic prints. I also stock a limited selection of antiques and collectables, including treen, ceramics and glass. I have now opened a shop in Wallingford (OX100BU) between Reading and Oxford, but I also trade online. My website, www.artandstuffgallery.com has a gallery section with several mini-galleries where my items are displayed, including more contemporary items not shown on LoveAntiques.

Description
A lovely hand coloured limited edition engraving of a pair of lurchers in a landscape. (no117/250) Henry Wilkinson (1921-2011) studied at the Winchester College of Art and then the Royal College of Art where he also studied engraving. He became a member of the Royal Society of Painters, Etchers and Engravers after the war. He was a prolific engraver of hunting scenes and was particularly well known for his portrayals of dogs. This piece is very charming as the dogs seem alert and waiting for a command. It is signed by the artist lower right and on the plate.
