Jacques François Blondel was a prominent and influential French architect and educator of the 18th century. Jacques François Blondel’s contributions extended beyond his writings. He also ran a successful school of architecture and was appointed Professor of Architecture at the Académie Royale d’Architecture in 1762.
His dedication to architectural education, his influential writings and his work significantly impacted architectural education, theory and practice during that period and have left a lasting impact. His legacy continues to inspire architects and enthusiasts alike to this day.
