Klaftenberger, London Ships Chronometer Wall Clock
A fine quality chronometer fusee ships clock. A 6" enamel dial signed ' Klaftenberger 157, Regent Street London'. Blued steel hands and a slow/fast adjuster above the 12 o'clock position. A cast brass bezel with bevelled glass and a silvered inner ring. A superb, chronometer fusee mechanism with maintaining power, of 8-day duration. Circa 1865.

Klaftenberger of London were fine makers. Prince Albert & Queen Victoria purchased clocks and watches from them. In 1859 Aubert & Klaftenberger were awarded a Royal Warrant.
