Our business is based in the beautiful village of Debenham in Suffolk, England, which is close to Constable country. I take our pride in being the 4th generation in my family to be antique dealers who have been buying and selling antiques for over a century. With our expanding web presence in the UK, we also have a base in the USA with Debenham Antiques inc. Along with expanding our international web based business, we also quite unusually retain our high street presence, with a large retail shop which we use to display our finest goods, and to offer the client a more personal service for the those who like to discuss their needs.
Here at Debenham Antiques we try to cater for all styles and tastes, and we believe this is reflected in our stock as you can find anything from 15th century carvings to late 20th century fine quality furniture. We have experts in furniture and paintings who buy our goods with safe knowledge. We also offer a wide range of fine quality reproduction furniture which is all lovingly handcrafted by ourselves locally, using the best timbers.

Large 19th Century (c.1870) Flemish antique carved oak cabinet that was a profusely carved cupboard of grand proportions in the baroque revival taste. Comprising of 2 sections. Understated cornice decorated with egg and dart carving with further carved panels below. Small double door cupboard containing a single shelf. Carvings on these doors appear to show dogs apprehending people. Doors flanked either side by carved cherubs and shells. Open storage aperture supported by 3 carved supports. Bottom section with brushing slide and 2 drawers below. Large double door cupboard containing a further shelf. Door fronts decorated by carved scenes of folklore stories. Flanked either side by columns and standing on a shaped plinth base. Transport labels from germany and sweden on the reverse. Deep dark colour with flashes of the natural oak coming through. Expected minor surface marks with age.
