Large McEwan’s Pale India Ale Advertising Mirror, Pub Sign Mirror for McEwans
This is a rare surviving pictorial advertising mirror, advertising McEwan’s Pale India Ale, in gold leaf with etched glass. The mirror has the colourful iconic logo at its centre of the Royal Standard and the Union Jack, the hand supporting the world has mostly faded away
The mirror has a very decorative geometric etched border, it has not been restored and it is in its original 4.5” wide carved frame.
McEwans was originally brewed by William McEwan’s Fountain Brewery in Edinburgh it is now owned by Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company
The glass is sound and in unrestored condition and a superb and rare piece of decorative history.
