Large Vintage Rocking Horse. Early 20th Century - Collinsons of Liverpool

Description
This is a very handsome large vintage Rocking Horse, quite likely to be from the firm Collinson's of Liverpool. No label.
He probably dates to the 1920's
He has been carefully restored to retain all of his original character and colouring. The paintwork is original as is the padded saddle which is waxed cloth. The blue velvet saddle cloth, horse hair mane and tail have been renewed, and the leather tack and trim.
This is a beautifully made Rocking Horse with many distinctive features and a very pretty face. It is now in a very good and usable condition, though the age and vintage quality of the piece should be respected, and if used, only gently and with supervision and care.
Collinson's were a very reputable manufacturing company for Rocking Horses, they were based in Liverpool from 1836 to the late 20th Century.
We have another fine early 20th C Rocking Horse in stock - from another Liverpool based company, Baby Carriage Rambler. They were known for producing particularly well shaped horses with carved detail, but both companies produced very well finished Rockers.
