Description
SALE - WAS £1,400 NOW £1,100 A fabulous limited edition (2/12) life size bronze of a Partridge by this world-renowned sculptor. Born in 1973, Mackie grew up on a livestock farm in Cornwall and attended Radley College and Falmouth school of art before going on to study design at Kingston University. He started sculpting full time in 1996 and comments ''It is close observation of my subject's behaviour that really brings my pieces to life. I want to convey a sense of character, their spirit''
Hamish Mackie has works in public and private collections around the world and one of his most prestigious commissions was Goodman's Fields Horses for Berkeley homes Goodman's fields development in the City of London - six life and quarter size horses running loose through the pedestrianised plaza and later in 2016, he presented his sixth solo show 'Life in Bronze' at Mall Galleries, London to great critical acclaim. Mackie's bronzes regularly sell into the tens of thousands and the bronze offered is a truly low-run limited edition sculpture being only number 2 of 12 ever produced.
Lambert & Co. are very proud to be able to offer this very finely cast and heavy patinated bronze sculpture of a life size Partridge in excellent original condition.
You will see upon close inspection that this rare piece is signed and also bears the limited edition number of 2/12. Each of Mackie's sculptures takes an average of 4 months to be sculpted, moulded and then cast into bronze using the ancient 'lost wax' process and is a highly skilled labour-intensive process.
The piece will be shipped out to the fortunate purchaser Asap and will incur no shipping charges if the buyer is within the UK.
Please do feel free to ask any questions regarding this beautiful heavy bronze or email for any further information required.
