Koos Limburg Jnr. was born in the Netherlands, but has lived in Scotland since 1994 Over the years he has build up a well established and well respected antique business by participation only on important antique fairs in the UK as well as at the continent. Description
Magnificent rare French mahogany regulator clock. Interesting is the temperature compensated pendulum invented by British clock maker John Ellicott 1752, known is that this invention is used in French clocks in the 1800s, written in a French Physics book from 1878.
The dial signed with the name: Bousquet A Beziers (a large clock makers family) the movement made and signed by: Pierre Lemasson Paris. The moment has been serviced and strikes every 30 minutes on a gong.
In fully working order, still with the original enamel dial with the original gilded bevel surround, blued hands and original gilded pendulum.
The very clean mahogany case is made by a top Ebenist/furniture maker.
 Overall in very good old original used condition, there are no missing pieces.
