Description
This is an impressive oil on canvas of a 19th Century tea clipper or opium clipper as they where some times known, which plied their trade between the European Continent and The East Indies. Well painted with good movement, with the clipper under full sail in open waters. The most famous of these vessels was of course "the Cutty Sark". Presented in a typical frame of the period, off white wooden stepped frame with hessian inset.
