Pair of 1950s Aluminium Flight Cases Green 'Astral'

Pair of 1950s aluminium flight cases with dome tops, leather handles and steel locks and aluminium corners. They have the original paint which is a textured green colour. These suitcases were made after World War 2 using aluminium recycled from planes, or simply using up supplies of sheets of aluminium. They have the maker's stamp Astral Personal Luggage. The cases are light and easy to handle, and were very popular at the time. They are in excellent used condition. They have flown many miles and show minor signs of use and wear.
